JAMB set date for 2026 admission cut-off marks meeting

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, wey dem call JAMB, don announce say dem go hold di 2026 admission policy meeting on Monday, May 11.

Di meeting go happun at di Body of Benchers Auditorium for Jabi, Abuja.

According to JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin, di policy meeting go decide di minimum cut-off marks for di 2026/2027 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, and oda important admission guidelines.

Di Minister of Education, Maruf Alausa, go dey present key policies for di new admission session.

Dis meeting dey happun every year and e dey bring togeda major stakeholders for di education sector, like vice-chancellors, rectors, provosts, registrars, and admission officers from different institutions.

Representatives from regulatory bodies like National Universities Commission, NUC, National Commission for Colleges of Education, NCCE, and National Board for Technical Education, NBTE, go also attend.

Oda agencies, including di Nigerian Education Loan Fund and di National Youth Service Corps, go send goodwill messages.

Di event go also include di 6th National Tertiary Admissions Performance-Merit Awards, wey dey recognise institutions wey follow admission rules and maintain good standards.
