SSANIP Talk Say No to NBTE New Scheme for Polytechnics!

Naija! Wetin dey happen for polytechnics matter? SSANIP don land fresh gists!

The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics, dem go hard on di National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) over dem new reviewed schemes of service wey dem drop for Abuja. E no dey sweet dem mouth at all!

National President of SSANIP, Philip Ogunsipe, don talk say dem no gree accept di scheme because e dey cause wahala between teaching and non-teaching staff. Na wah! Dem dey claim say di new scheme go put sharp divide for entry level wey go make non-teaching staff no fit move up. If you get first degree, dem dey block you from going up to CONTEDISS 15 – wey be like Grade Level 17. Wetin dey happen for dis one?

Ogunsipe talk say dem bring evidence wey show say di CONTEDISS 15 salary structure dey legit, but library no carry am for di stakeholders meeting. Dem just dey ignore am like wetin no concern dem. Him say di thing wey di committee head talk, say rectors and some non-teaching staff fit retire for different grade levels, no sweet for ear. E dey demeaning, elitist and e no follow public service rules at all!

SSANIP don raise serious alarm, say dem no get confidence for NBTE again to do wetin go balance polytechnics matter. Dem dey see am say NBTE dey show bias and dey waka against di public service rules. Dem dey call on di Minister of Education, Dr. Moruf Alausa, make e see di letter wey dem send am as protest. Dem want fair play, make e no be say university people dey enjoy better level and dem polytechnic people dey suffer.

Ogunsipe, with strong belief say di minister fit do am right, don still talk say dem no go accept dem decision to remove di Office of di Head of di Civil Service from preparing and approving di schemes. How dem wan just waka go like dat?

Dis issue dey touch people for di education sector, as e fit affect many career aspirations. Everybody dey hope say di matter go settle well, make polytechnic staff no dey feel like dem dey second-class citizens for di educational system.
