According to wetin dem talk, the coalition of youth groups wey include People's Movement and Ekiti North Progressive Youth Alliance don send strong message to Governor Biodun Oyebanji and APC leaders for the state. Dem say make the party do direct primaries wey go transparent for all positions wey dey available for 2027 National Assembly elections. David Adegboyega wey be Leader for People’s Movement and Tayelolu Ajayi wey coordinate Ekiti North Progressive Youth Alliance sign joint statement to make their position clear.
Adegboyega talk say for Ekiti Central Federal Constituency I, wey cover Ado and Irepodun/Ifelodun local government areas, all stakeholders suppose dey fully represented for the process to choose House of Representatives candidate. E even warn traditional rulers for the area make dem no endorse any aspirant. “Traditional institutions symbolize unity, dignity, and cultural heritage. Dem must remain strictly apolitical and should never be used as instruments for political advantage,” Adegboyega talk.
The youth leader yarn say the coalition reject any move to impose candidates ahead of 2027 general elections. “We dey call for transparent, credible and democratic primary processes within APC. Any attempt to manipulate the process or impose third-term incumbent through indirect means – particularly via traditional institutions – go undermine democratic values and threaten political stability for the state,” Adegboyega add.
For Ekiti North Senatorial District matter, Tayelolu Ajayi talk say Ikole Local Government Area suppose get chance to produce the next senator.
