According to statement from Governor Lawal spokesman, Sulaiman Bala Idris, the flight na one-off operational assessment to test the airport capability for VIP movements wey dey schedule for next week. Before the test flight, Zamfara State Government request permission from Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). The Authority grant one-time “No Technical Objection” (NTO) to allow the aircraft land for Gusau. The operation follow Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig. CARs) Part 12.1.4.1(c) and conduct under Visual Flight Rules (VFR), meaning the flight only happen from sunrise to sunset.
