Ribadu, wey dey represent di big man, talk say dis initiative no just dey carry weapon, but dey address di root of di gbege – poverty, unemployment, and all those wahala wey dey make youth vulnerable for recruitment by bad guys.
E clear as day say, we no fit dey fight violent extremism alone with gun. We need dey look into di social and economic issues wey dey push our youths to dem bad gangs. Na why dem put hands together with National Counter Terrorism Centre to make sure say di initiative fit work.
Dem talk say dem go give these 11,000 youths skills, livelihoods, psychosocial support, and civic awareness. Dis one go help dem no fall for bad gang. Imagine say dem fit learn how to do something wey go fit carry dem go life instead of crime!

E stress say dis na people-centred program, wey go carry skills development, economic empowerment and peacebuilding education come front.
Sen. Atiku Bagudu, di Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, sabi talk say Nigeria get plenty young people wey be di greatest strength. But e also remind us say we need to invest in dem with eyes clear if we wan build better tomorrow. Skills acquisition dey key to tackle unemployment and bring security matter under control.
