Na wah! No be small thing o! Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State don finally present certificates to 50 scholarship students wey graduate from Crescent University, Abeokuta nine years ago! You sabi wetin that mean? Na people wey don wait since 2017 but no fit collect their papers because state government no pay their tuition fees. Abeg, wetin dem folks go do for nine years? Na real wah.
This ceremony take place for Grand Chamber of Government House for Gusau. According to the governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, the students just dey hang without certificates because previous governments no do wetin dem suppose do. They refuse to settle the outstanding fees wey dey pile like mountain. E be like say na wetin dey worry many Nigerian students today too.
As Governor Lawal dey present the certificates, im yarn say dis move no dey only show say the government dey serious about education, but e also dey indicate say the state dey try improve things for educational sector. Among the 50 graduates, one sharp student even get First Class in Chemistry, while plenty of others get Second Class Upper degrees. Na win-win for dem jare!
But no be only dis certificate matter dey for Zamfara State right now. The governor also give gist say im dey on track to rescue the state from wahala. Recently, e go Shinkafi for inspection of various projects wey him government don start. Dem don renovate hospitals, build new ones, and even launch empowerment programs wey go benefit 2,000 people with cars, tricycles, and sewing machines. Na correct move to empower the people sha.
