Dem talk say five resident doctors wey no fit enter hospital back for Federal Teaching Hospital, Lokoja, still dey there gisting. E no finish there, more wahala dey. Salary and promotion wey suppose enter their account don dey waka like lost child, and dem dey hold Specialist Allowances like say na treasure.
Wetin dey befuddle everybody na say house officers dey suffer as salary dey come like snail. Plus, dem still get wahala with Medical and Dental Council certificate, as if na jujutsu dem dey play. As e be now, dem no fit get their postgraduate training certificates as well! E be like say na only for Naija wahala dey gas!
The leaders from the resident doctors don point fingers at government for the bad state of hospital buildings and old medical equipment wey no fit even do small work again. All these things dey make the doctors vex, and they wan start nationwide peaceful protests to catch government attention.
Dr. Mujitaba Umar wey be the president of ARD, UDUTH, talk say this decision na wahala wey dem no fit avoid again. Him come talk say government dey neglect dem like say dem no get responsibility for healthcare. Wetin we go do if dem no fit even ensure proper care for our people?
