This gisting come from the Bar and Bench Meeting wey happen for Dutse, the capital of Jigawa State. Chief Judge, Justice Umar M. Sadiq, come yarn say the State High Courts collect 917 cases, clear 685, and 233 still dey ground.
Justice Sadiq talk say the Magistrate Courts collect 5,016 cases, clear 2,014, but wahala dey as 3,002 cases still dey pending. E no end there, Shari’a Court of Appeal collect 148 cases, clear 86, with just 2 cases dey remain. As for the lower Shari’a Courts, dem don receive 23,877 cases, clear 20,044, but 3,833 cases still dey wait for judgment.
Na true say, Justice Sadiq thank all the judicial officers, dem no slack for this work at all! He even hail the Nigerian Bar Association, Ministry of Justice, plus the police wey dey support justice for the state. This na teamwork o!
As the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice for Jigawa, Bello Fanini, open him mouth, e make am clear say dem go dey support judiciary for better justice delivery. “We dey serious about working together to make sure say justice go dey served well,” na wetin him talk.
