Chief Judge of Jigawa State, Justice Umar M. Sadiq, come talk say the State High Courts alone collect 917 cases, but only 685 dem fit settle, leaving 233 cases on ground. Wetin dey happen for Magistrates’ Courts? Dem collect 5,016 cases, handle 2,014 and 3,002 cases still dey hang like Akara wey no fry well.
Justice Sadiq no forget the Shari’a Court of Appeal too, as dem receive 148 cases, settle 86 and two still dey pending. Concerning the lower Shari’a Courts, na dem wey dey carry the bulk matter o, as dem get 23,877 cases, handle 20,044, but 3,833 don still turn ghost for their records.
The Chief Judge no slack, e hail all the judicial officers and stakeholders wey contribute for this verdict. Na him call out the Koko people like the Nigerian Bar Association, the Ministry of Justice, and even the Nigeria Police for their gbaladun approach wey help de justice system.
Attorney General of Jigawa, Bello Fanini, come show face to reaffirm sey dem go continue to support the judiciary. E say, “We dey work hand in hand to make sure sey justice dey flow well and rule of law no go gree sleep.”
