Dem don call am Phase 8 of the ICPC Constituency and Executive Projects Tracking programme. You fit call am ‘project detective’ because dem go dey check wetin dey happen inside different sectors like health, education, and even electrification. Na wah o!
Team leader, Mr. Aminu Bala, don come out come tell us say dem don catch some irregularities wey dey happen inside projects wey dey Wamakko and Sokoto South local government areas. Una sabi how e be, many contractors dey like to chop money without delivering correct work.
Bala no gree carry last as he talk say some projects no meet contract specifications at all. Na dem dey give contractors chance to go back to site and make am right. Projects like Science Laboratory for Senior Secondary School, Kalambaina, and water schemes for Gwuiwa, Mabera, and Mana, all dis ones no fit carry face for disgrace.
Dem say this 64 projects na result of work from 14 different federal government agencies, and dem suppose don complete am well. But as e be now, na dem dey look into am to see wetin really dey happen.
The team no dey follow ground alone; dem dey carry komot people from civil society, media, and even quantity surveyors to make sure say dem no go miss anything wey dey happen. Na 21.6 billion wey dey involved, so e no fit be play play!
