This one na collaboration wey involve Sokoto State Government and our military pals, the Nigerian Army. Dem do am as part of their plan to wahala less for education and make civil-military relationship grow big time.
Come Saturday, Governor Ahmed Aliyu, wey send him deputy Dr Idris Gobir come represent am for the ceremony, talk how primary education na the foundation wey build every successful life. Him urge the pikin dem to take their books serious and dream big!
Dr Gobir even yarn say this school no be small place; na fertile ground wey don produce big men for Nigeria, from generals to politicians and technocrats. Him talk with pride say, “Even our governor, na this school him come from,” Wao! E mean say di school get pedigree no be small.
Major General Abbas Idris, wey be the project executor and also an alumnus of the school, don turn back for him roots. Him don make sure say im contribute plenty to the growth and development of Sokoto State, and dat one na commendable work!
As if that one no enough, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, wey be the Chief of Army Staff, send Major General Paul Koughna to represent am. Koughna talk say dem don carry out over 250 projects for all parts of Naija, from schools to hospitals, all na part of the COAS Special Intervention Scheme.
Him talk say, “Na people’s army we be. We no dey only fight; we dey also work for community development.” Abeg, that one na sweet music for our ears!
Major General Koughna still add say di newly renovated classrooms, offices, and storage facilities go help government improve education wey dey happen for dat area. Him even urge the community to adopt di facilities so dem go fit take care of am well well.
As for Major General Abbas Idris, him say this project dey carry him personal touch. E talk say dem no just renovate school, but na to boost the dreams of di children. “Every classroom na sign say dem future dey matter!” Na serious motivation be dat.
Magajin Rafi Primary School get rich history since 1935, as e dey among di oldest schools for Sokoto State. Na here don produce generations of professionals from governors to engineers and even traditional rulers.
Di ceremony gather many big people o! Government officials, military officers, community heads, alumni, small pikin, and even press dey for di event. Dem come show say education no go be joke!
