Na National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) don burst out with big praise for Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) wey don launch fresh refund plan wey go fix all the wahala wey dey happen with airtime and data transactions!
Last week, NCC and CBN drop directive wey make sure say network providers and banks go dey refund money automatically when dem transaction fail. This one mean say if your airtime no work or your data dem collect but e no land, you go get your money back fast-fast, as in within 30 seconds! Chai! Na wetin dem call *service level agreement*, and e dey come with real-time monitoring to stop this wahala wey don dey worry many people.
NANS still talk say this framework na correct move for consumer protection, especially for students wey dey depend on their phones for school work, socializing and everything wey concern dem. Dem write statement wey talk say this policy show say the leaders dey respond to the needs of the people, and dem dey serious about fairness in the telecoms sector.
Ahmad Mallawa wey be National Vice President (Special Duties) for NANS, come yarn say, “This landmark framework show say dem get correct leadership wey care about consumer protection, particularly for Nigerian students wey need this service to fit learn, do business and mix with friends. For too long, we don dey suffer from failed transactions, but this new setup go give us some relief.”
NANS even praise the quick refunds go as high as N10 billion wey don dey refunded to subscribers, e show say NCC dey serious about consumer welfare. Dem no wan make this one just policy wey dey gather dust, dem wan make am work for everybody.
