Nah wey NANS, di National Association of Nigerian Students, don finally put their protest plan for ground. E be like say na government palava don settle small as dem meet with people wey sabi about di new Tax Reform Act.
For January 14, 2026, na im dem plan to turn everywhere gidi gidi for mass protest, but after di recent meeting wey dem hold, dem don change their mind. Dis waala begin when NANS wey dey led by Olushola Oladoja, come dey vex about di law because dem no wan make low-income students dey carry heavy tax load.
Dem just come out from a big meeting wey hold for di first time for Naija, where dem yarn everything wey concern di tax matter. NANS leaders no dey joke o, dem come gather all di relevant oga dem, including di National Assembly and di Department of State Services, come clarify wetin dey happen.

E suppose protect the vulnerable and make sure say high earners dey contribute their own fair share to support di country.” E sweet to hear dis kind palava from NANS wey don always dey shout for student matter.
Dem talk say di law go help Nigeria collect tax beta, but wetin dem talk no go make poor people dey suffer. Instead, e go balance things so wey everybody fit pay wetin dey fit dem without wahala.
After di meeting, NANS come dey sing new praises for di Executive Chairman of di Nigeria Revenue Service, Zacch Adedeji, and dem come hail President Bola Tinubu for di financial reforms wey dem dey carry come.
