These workers no gree make CBN change dem matter for court. Na dem dey seek make court hear dem gist the way e suppose be, no be say dem go package am anyhow. See, CBN don bring lawyer wey dey call Wilson Inam, wey run come carry motion go court say dem need oral evidence to fit settle the case well well. E be like say dem dey play game for here!
The workers wey dey represented by lawyer Ola Olanipekun no wan gree. As dem show for court, dem come carry big gist say CBN don terminate their employment through wetin dem call ‘Reorganisation’. This termination letter, dey say e no follow wetin CBN Act talk. Na so dem dey claim say CBN dey run things anyhow, like una sabi Naija style!
Dem come carry go court shout say make dem no just terminate dem like that, say dem contract still dey valid. They want make court set aside the nonsense termination and carry dem back to work or even promote dem to higher level. Wetin dem dey find na all the money wey dem suppose collect since dem sack dem, including salary and allowances.
For this matter, court don already give CBN punishment by ordering dem to pay N620,000 because dem dey delay the hearing. Na wah! When dem settle down for court on Monday, dem confirm say CBN don pay the fine. But the ex-staff no fit hide their anger as dem dey argue say everything wey CBN do no follow due process as e suppose be.
Inam wey represent CBN dey try push for motion wey say dem no gree respond to CBN because dem no file counter-affidavit give dem. But Olanipekun dey manage the matter, dey insist say even if dem no file counter-affidavit, e no mean say dem no fit raise point for court. Na wetin e does na to drop some points of law wey go boost how dem dey see the matter.
As the court dey look all dis drama, Justice Obaseki-Osaghae don say make dem wait till February 10 before e fit give dem ruling on the matter. E be like say dis one go hot, because e no easy to jettison peoples livelihood just like that!
