Wetin happen be say, plenty people dey complain say dem go pay for airtime or data, but the network go just dey chop their money without giving them anything. Na wah! This new plan go make sure say when you buy airtime and e no go through, you no go need to beg beg before dem go refund you your money.
Director for Consumer Affairs at NCC, Mrs Freda Bruce-Bennett, talk say dem don create one Central Monitoring Dashboard wey go dey help track all dis wahala. E go make dem fit know who dey do am and how to settle anybody wey dey face such problems.
She still talk say this failed top-up issue na major wahala wey dey vex consumers, and dem wan finish am quick. Dem don even refund over N10 billion to customers wey fall victim to dis failed transaction matter. Chai! That one no be small money o!
Under this new law, if you dey buy airtime but you no get your stuff, whether na bank wahala or network mess up, within 30 seconds, you suppose hear say your money don come back. If e still dey pending, you go receive your refund within 24 hours. No more wahala!
And the way e go be, telecommunication companies and banks must inform us via SMS whether our transactions succeed or fail. Dem even don talk say dem go fix all these issues wey dey cause wahala like wrong numbers and wrong transactions.
