Dis one na serious matter wey happen on Wednesday afternoon, as e sweet mouth for Public Relations Officer of Kano Fire Service, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi.
According to wetin Alhaji Saminu talk, dem get distress call from dem big oga for Fire Service, Rabiu Garba, around 12:15 p.m. say small boy don drown. As dem hear di gist, dem no waste time, dem pack dem team quickly go di scene make dem come help.
When dem reach, dem find di pikin unconscious for water. Na so dem carry di pikin come meet Umar Shehu wey dey work for Madobi Police Division. As e dey hot like dis, di root of di incident still dey under investigation, so nobody sabi wetin really happen yet.
But no be only dat end e end o! Another person wey be 28 years old, Suleiman Sani, still fall for well on di same Wednesday night for Karofawa Yan Kifi Village, Ghari Local Government Area. Dis one don dey jaga jaga for di community as well, as di man still find himself in di same wahala.
Alhaji Saminu talk say dem receive another distress call from Ghari fire station say man don drown again. Dem mobilize fast to di scene, but moimoi e don pass as di man too don dey unconscious. When dem carry am go meet him family, dem don confirm say di guy don die. Wetin we hear be say dem don hand di body over to di Village Head, Alhaji Musa Aliyu, and dem still dey check di cause of di incident too.
In case you no sabi, dis kind thing don happen for before! Last year, November to be precise, dem report say one 12-year-old girl, Nabilat, also drown inside well when she go fetch water for Ikoyi Community, Irewolede area for Ilorin West Local Government Area, Kwara State. E be like say this water matter dey pose serious case for our communities.
Kano State Fire Service don send their condolences go di families wey lose dem loved ones, and dem dey urge everybody to make sure say wells dey well covered. No be say we go dey lose pikin and people like this again, abeg!
