Petrol Price Don Sharply Rise As Depot Owners Break Bank

Nigeria, my people, the petrol wahala don rise again o! Private depot owners don increase the ex-depot price of petrol, wey dem dey call Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), for major locations. This one no too dey sweet for our pockets as prices don jump clear after recent reduction wey Dangote Petroleum Refinery do. E be like say na just yesterday, depot wey dey sell petrol for average N828 per litre don drop am to N710 per litre, but as we dey yarn now, prices don waka go up again!

According to Joseph Obele, the national PRO for Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN), dem don drop new price list wey show how much petrol dey now for different states. For Lagos, for example, Eterna dey sell petrol for N800, Nipco dey do N750, AITEO dey mark am N780, and Integrated also dey sell am for N800. No be play, my people. Warri no dey carry last too, as Matrix dey sell for N805 while Danmarna dey do N800. Port Harcourt get Masters wey dey sell for N802 and Sigmund dey do N804!

Obele come add say, things fit still change as wetin dey happen inside industry dey cause panic. Some reports dey talk say Dangote refinery fit shut down for ‘turnaround maintenance’. But one source wey dey work for the refinery don clear am say production still dey go on, and people no suppose dey panic. Dem dey even expand the refinery capacity from 650,000 barrels to 700,000 barrels per day! So thing no too dey bad as dem go fit supply the needed petrol.

This wahala wey we dey see now no be just about price law; e dey also affect how we go take transport goods, manufacture products, and e dey affect everything wey we dey spend our coins on. E just dey wahala the normal Nigerian wey just wan buy fuel and move around no wahala.

The juju wey dey up for the market na how depot owners dey fit raise prices based on supply and demand, wey dey make people dey wonder when e go end. As e be now, nobody wan sell cheap, and even Dangote refinery dey struggle to maintain their price wey dey N699 per litre. Dem still dey try to make sure dem fit supply 50 million litres of petrol daily as dem promise. Na wah!

So, my people make we dey shine our eye, because fuel price fit change anytime. If you dey plan to fill your tank, better make you check how much you go pay, because e fit don change by the time you reach there. But Obele don assure say MRS stations go still dey sell for N739 per litre, while IPMAN go dey do between N740 and N745!

Make no body panic, but e go good make we dey keep tabs on all this petrol wahala as e dey unfold. Na only time go show if e go end for this petrol saga. Stay safe and make sure you no allow anybody shortchange you with price o!
