According to report from National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), food inflation drop from 13.12 percent wey e dey before. Na serious 2 percent reduction month-on-month. Since July dis year, inflation don dey calm down like young pikin wey just finish jollof rice. Wetin be the reason? E be say tomatoes, cassava, eggs, pepper and crayfish don reduce for market. Na good news be dis for many Naija families wey don dey struggle.
Last year, people no fit celebrate Christmas well because food price be like small mountain. But as we dey prepare for dis festive period, many dey hope say things go better, thanks to dis drop wey dem notice. People for Kogi, Ogun, and Rivers still dey see highest food inflation rate, but we fit see light at the end of dis tunnel.
For Kogi, food inflation stand at 17.83 percent, while Ogun follow with 16.52 percent, and Rivers dey sit down for 16.11 percent. But Imo, Katsina, and Akwa Ibom be the MVPs, with 3.52, 3.65, and 4.52 percent low food inflation rate. The matter don show say dem dey try manage price well.
