Norfolk, Virginia – Wetin dey happen for WWE as dem gear up for Wrestlepalooza? Just eight days before the big show, SmackDown give us one hot episode wey catch everybody eye. As dem say, igba adugbo dey sweet pass, we see big names like Brock Lesnar chopping action with R-Truth and plus some championship matches wey dey hot like pepper soup.
The show kick off with Brock Lesnar, wey just dey come back to remind us say, no matter wetin happen, na im be ‘The Beast’. But before he fit yarn, R-Truth waka enter dey ask Brock wetin happen to im “brother” John Cena wey dey suffer for im hands. Na so Brock comot for im jeans as him carry R-Truth go floor with im classic F-5. Na wah! Talk about entering with a bang (or should I say a slam?).
Then, we see Sami Zayn the current United States Champion dey defend im title against Rey Fenix. This match na serious business as both guys dey give us all dem high-flying moves wey dey make our heart dey race. For those wey no sabi, Fenix be like akrobat, but Zayn show say na true champion he be as e drop am with Helluva Kick to retain im title. Appreciation no dey do the man — B+ na him grade for that match.
As we dey ginger, the women join the action. B-Fab and Giulia suppose wrestle, but na kondo dem scatter bring Michin enter with kendo stick to help B-Fab fight back. This na WWE, my people, and drama dey flow too.
Next, we get Jade Cargill as she dey challenge Tiffany Stratton for the women’s title. E no reach the end of the match before referee call am a count-out. Talk about no clear winner — folks wan see action, not wait for rain to fall. Na so Nia Jax join the party as she lay Stratton flat, plus one Annihilator for good measure. Everybody dey expect Jax to reignite her title chase.
Last but not the least, Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre face off in the last match wey make everybody shout. The Scottish Warrior carry the match come home with a Claymore, leaving Orton confused and bleeding. That one na the kind drama wey set up for Wrestlepalooza as Cody Rhodes return come challenge McIntyre right after. Talk about last-minute action!
Overall, the show na mix of excitement and some ‘why we dey watch this?’ Moments, as dem still manage to showcase some solid wrestling, but dem no really deliver on full package. Na the Zayn-Fenix match wey really hold ground. While some segments dey fall flat, this episode serve as gentle reminder say Wrestlepalooza dey waka comot. Next week go show if dem fit deliver full-on excitement.
