UNIOSUN Students Shine: 49 First Class Grads, New Projects Unveiled!

Osogbo, Osun State – E be like dem don finally start to chop better rice for Osun State University (UNIOSUN) as 49 students don graduate with First Class Degrees. Dis one dey happen as di school drop 2,851 graduates for 2024/2025 academic session. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Clement Adebooye, sha show come for press conference wey happen on Wednesday to kick off di convocation celebration.

During di press wahala, Adebooye talk say dem go commission seven projects wey dem don finish, including di multi-billion-naira Senate Building wey dem build. I mean, who no go love fresh buildings wey go make di school fine? E no be all about di education, na good environment dey help too, as we dey talk am.

Breakdown of di graduation be like dis: 2,505 people finish with First Degrees, one Postgraduate Diploma, 283 Master’s Degrees, and 62 Doctoral Degrees. Among those wey get First Degrees, 49 na dem First Class champs, while 988 carry Second Class (Upper Division), 1,279 na Second Class (Lower Division), 178 na Third Class, and one person just manage Pass. E be like sey make dem just carry the person enter di hall make e no come cry.

Adebooye dey proud of di wahala wey dem don achieve. E talk say, “With di recent increase for student enrolment and di vision wey we get to make UNIOSUN a world-class institution, we don finish seven new projects wey go dey launched during dis convocation. Projects include di iconic Senate Building, Faculty of Computing and Information Technology Building, and plenty more wey fit make e better for students.” (You go fit count all di campuses wey dey make dem flex, wahala no dey finish)

No forget say di new buildings na project of TETFund, wey don put hands for anything wey carry education matter recently. Adebooye also shout out to di Osun State Government and di institution’s Governing Council for di support, as dem dey try bring UNIOSUN to limelight. Se dem sabi say education na di future? E be like sey dem go help padi for better tomorrow.

Dis year’s convocation be special, no be just graduation matter. Dem wan show wetin dem fit do, signaling di transformation wey UNIOSUN dey enter. Adebooye talk say every project dey show di level wey dem dey focus on innovation and excellence. We dey enter era wey global competitiveness no go be wahala again.

For convocation week wey set from September 17 to 24, dem go showcase di 2,851 degrees and diplomas wey dem go give to students. On top that, dem go fit deliver special lecture from TETFund Executive Secretary, Arc. Sonny Echono, wey go dey talk about “Digital Transformation in Higher Education: Building Skills in Graduates for Global Competitiveness.” Dis one go make sense on top our head!

Adebooye don also recognize di role of Governor Ademola Adeleke and TETFund for di progress of di school. Na true matter as dem dey support to reposition di institution as a top education center.
