On Thursday, one person die and several people injure after a passenger train derail in northern Norway. The train, which dey call Arctic Circle Express, was traveling from Trondheim to Bodø when it derail between Bjerka and Mo i Rana.
The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre of Northern Norway (JRCC NN) confirm the incident and say dem dey work on it. Dem add that the train carry between 50 to 70 people, and dem no clear on the extent of the damage.
Images from the scene show the locomotive and the first of five carriages slide down an incline next to the track. Emergency services, including three helicopters, rush to the scene to help the passengers.
A police official, Bent Are Eilertsen, tell TV2 that dem believe dem don get everyone off the train, but dem no have passenger manifest. He say maybe five to six people injure, but no one get life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses and authorities suggest that a landslide might cause the derailment because big boulders dey seen on the tracks in front of the train.
