Tinubu Ask Senate to Confirm Seven New Ministers

President Bola Tinubu don dey seek Senate confirmation for seven new ministerial nominees wey him nominate for appointment as ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Mr. Tinubu send letter to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, and dem read am during plenary on Thursday. Inside the letter, Mr. Tinubu list the nominees include: Dr Nentawe Yilwatda, Muhammadu Dingyadi, Bianca Odumegu-Ojukwu, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, Mukhtar Maiha, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, and Dr Suwaiba Ahmad.

Dr Nentawe Yilwatda dey nominated as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, while Muhammadu Dingyadi dey nominated as Minister of Labour and Employment. Bianca Odumegu-Ojukwu dey nominated as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and Dr Jumoke Oduwole as Minister of Industry, Trade and Development.

Others include Idi Muktar Maiha as Minister of Livestock Development, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata as Minister of State for Housing, and Dr Suwaiba Said Ahmad as Minister of State for Education.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio refer the request to the Committee of the Whole for expeditious consideration. Since the request reach the Senate on their last day of sitting for the week, dem may start the screening of the nominees next week after dem receive the necessary documents.
