A group called Christian Conscience don dey beg President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to quickly do something about the high cost of food and fuel for Nigerians. The group talk say the situation dey very hard for people, especially with the high cost of transportation because of fuel price hike.
During their monthly meeting in Lagos, the group’s National Chairman, Dr. Yetunde Akinluyi, and National Secretary, Rev Dr Kolawole Verrals, sign a statement where dem appeal to the Federal Government to make life easier for Nigerians. Dem say there is hunger in the land and people are suffering because food is scarce and expensive.
The group also ask President Tinubu to intervene in the quarrel between NNPC Limited and Dangote Refinery, so that the benefits from Dangote Refinery can reach the people. Dem believe say if this quarrel settle, fuel prices go come down and life go be better for Nigerians.
Additionally, the group commend the government’s initiative on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and ask dem to put more energy and funding into the programme. Dem believe say CNG can help reduce fuel prices and make life easier for people.
