South Korea don dey protest say North Korea send troops go help Russia fight Ukraine. According to South Korea’s spy agency, North Korea don send 1,500 special forces troops to Russia, and dem dey prepare to send more troops soon.
South Korean Foreign Ministry summon Russian Ambassador Georgy Zinoviev on Monday to condemn the deployment of North Korean troops to Russia. Vice Foreign Minister Kim Hong-kyun tell Zinoviev say the action dey pose “grave security threat” to South Korea and the international community.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also talk say North Korea plan to send 10,000 soldiers to join Russian forces in Ukraine, and he warn say dis involvement fit lead to “world war”.
South Korea dey consider to send military and intelligence personnel to Ukraine to help dem gather information and provide translation services if North Korean soldiers be captured. Dem also dey think of providing lethal aid to Ukraine.
NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte talk to South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol on phone, and Yoon say Seoul no go sit down do nothing as the military cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang continue. Yoon also say South Korea go send delegation to NATO to discuss the matter.
Russia and North Korea cooperation dey raise alarm for both Korea and the U.S.-South Korea alliance. Russia deny say dem no dey use North Korean troops in the war, but dem confirm say dem dey enhance their relations with North Korea across all sectors.
