Chairman of di House Committee on National Security and Intelligence, Ahmed Satomi, clarify dis matter in a chat with journalists at di National Assembly on Wednesday. He say di House never summon di named officials, contrary to some media reports.
Satomi explain say di motion moved by Dabo Haruna on di disturbing activities of ‘one chance’ operators in FCT was passed, and di House refer am to di relevant committees for necessary legislative action. Di committees include those on FCT, Police Affairs, and National Security and Intelligence.
He add say di joint committee only mandate to conduct comprehensive investigation and liaise with necessary stakeholders like di FCT Minister, di FCT Commissioner of Police, and di DG of DSS to ensure di culprits are brought to justice and di problems of ‘one chance’ incidence brought to a halt.
Satomi assure Nigerians say di joint committees will get to di root of di matter and ensure security agencies unravel and apprehend di culprits so dem can face di law.
Di clarification come after di tragic murder of Nimah Sulaiman, a legislative aide to Hon. Dabo Haruna, who was kidnapped and killed by ‘one chance’ operators despite ransom being paid.
