Reps Call Wike, DSS DG, Others to Explain Insecurity for FCT

The House of Representatives don summon Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), along with the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Commissioner of Police for FCT, over the rising insecurity in Abuja.

This decision come after a motion of urgent public importance was moved by Haruna Dabo, the member representing the Toro Federal Constituency. The motion highlight the increasing cases of kidnappings and other security threats in the FCT.

The lawmakers express concern over the safety of residents and visitors in Abuja, calling for immediate action to address the security challenges. They believe that summoning these key officials will help in getting to the root of the problem and finding solutions.

The insecurity in FCT has been a major issue, with several incidents of kidnappings and armed robberies reported in recent times. The House of Representatives hope that by bringing these officials to account, they can push for more effective security measures to protect the capital city.
