Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, don praise President Bola Tinubu‘s recent cabinet reshuffle. On Wednesday, President Tinubu announce big changes in his cabinet, including the re-assignment of 10 ministers, discharging five, and nominating seven new ones for Senate confirmation.
Adelabu, who retain his position as Power Minister, hail the President’s decision as a step in the right direction. According to him, the reshuffle show that President Tinubu dey serious about delivering on his promises to Nigerians.
The cabinet reshuffle also see the renaming of the Ministry of Niger Delta Development to Ministry of Regional Development, and the scrapping of the Ministry of Sports Development. The Ministry of Tourism and Arts and Culture were merged into the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy.
While some people dey praise the President for taking action against underperforming ministers, others dey criticize the move, saying it no go far enough in addressing the country’s main challenges. Some Nigerians demand more sackings, especially in key ministries like Defence, Finance, and Health.
