Policemen in Plateau State have successfully rescued four children who were victims of human trafficking. This operation, which was carried out in the early hours of Tuesday, also led to the arrest of 25 suspects involved in the trafficking ring.
According to sources within the Plateau State Police Command, the rescue operation was the result of a tip-off received from concerned members of the public. The police acted swiftly, conducting a raid on a suspected hideout where the children were being held.
The rescued children, aged between 8 and 12, are currently receiving medical attention and counseling. The police have also begun the process of reuniting them with their families.
The 25 suspects arrested are being interrogated by the police to gather more information about the trafficking network. The police are working to dismantle the entire operation and bring all those involved to justice.
This rescue operation is part of the ongoing efforts by the Nigerian police to combat human trafficking and protect vulnerable members of society. The police have urged the public to continue providing valuable information that can help in such operations.
