Paul Pogba‘s career for Juventus dey face big trouble after de club’s sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli, talk say de squad don complete ahead of Pogba’s return from doping ban.
Pogba, de 31-year-old French midfielder, go fit play football again in March as de Court of Arbitration for Sport reduce his four-year suspension to 18 months just two weeks ago. However, Giuntoli make am clear say Pogba no get space for him in de current squad.
“Our position very clear. Paul was a great player but he’s been out of action for a long time,” Giuntoli tell DAZN before Saturday’s home match against Lazio. “Last year and this year we were forced to invest in other players, and right now de squad is complete.”
Pogba himself talk to Gazzetta Dello Sport on Wednesday, saying he want to stay with Juventus even if it mean cutting his big salary. Since he get provisional suspension in September last year, Pogba dey earn just over 2,000 euros ($2,166) per month, unlike his contract which worth eight million euros per year plus potential bonuses of two million euros.
Italian press report say Juventus dey seek to terminate Pogba’s contract after dey revamp de squad for new coach Thiago Motta. Juventus, who lose nearly 200 million euros last season, currently dey fourth in Serie A, three points behind league leaders Napoli.
