PDP crisis don dey see some light as the Olagunsoye Oyinlola-led Reconciliation Committee talk say dem don resolve the fight wey dey happen for the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party. This committee been set up to settle the factionalisation wey dey happen inside the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The Oyinlola panel meet with various stakeholders, including governors and members of the NWC, to find a way to bring peace back to the party. Dem talk say after all the meetings and discussions, dem don find a way to end the conflict wey dey ground the party.
But, despite dis good news, another faction of the party, led by Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, who be the chairman of PDP governors’ forum, don go court to stop the party from holding their National Executive Council (NEC) meeting planned for Thursday. Dem file lawsuit at Zamfara High Court in Gusau Judicial Division, asking for an earlier injunction from Abuja Federal High Court to be set aside. Dis injunction been bar the PDP from removing their acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum.
The court case and the reconciliation efforts dey show say the PDP crisis still complex and need more work to fully resolve. But the Oyinlola panel dey hopeful say dem efforts go bring lasting peace to the party).
