Ahead of the upcoming Ondo governorship election, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that a total of 55,859 Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) have been collected by eligible voters.
This update was given on Tuesday, highlighting the ongoing efforts to ensure that all registered voters have their PVCs before the election.
In a move to enhance accessibility, INEC has extended the PVC collection exercise to the local government areas. This decision aims to make it easier for voters to obtain their cards, especially those who may have faced challenges in accessing the cards at the earlier designated centers.
The extension to local government areas is part of INEC’s strategy to increase voter participation and ensure a smooth electoral process. The commission is urging all eligible voters who have not yet collected their PVCs to take advantage of this extended period.
