Ogun State and the Society for Family Health (SFH) don dey plan to give out free insecticide-treated mosquito nets to about 3.1 million residents of the state. This initiative na part of their effort to reduce the burden of malaria in the state.
According to Dr Olubukola, the Ogun State Health Educator, the use of insecticide-treated mosquito nets is one of the most effective ways to prevent malaria. She explain say the nets will help protect people from mosquito bites which dey spread malaria.
The distribution of these nets is part of a broader campaign to educate people on how to prevent malaria and other diseases. The campaign also include teaching people how to properly use the nets and maintain them.
This initiative is seen as a significant step in improving public health in Ogun State, especially in areas where malaria is prevalent. The goal be to ensure that as many people as possible get access to these life-saving nets.
