NWDC Don Open Apply For Foreign Scholarship: Na Big Opportunity!

Kano, Nigeria – The North-West Development Commission (NWDC) don officially announce say dem don open application for 2025/2026 Undergraduate and Postgraduate Foreign Scholarship Scheme. Dis scholarship dey target exceptional students from Nigeria’s North-West geopolitical zone and e dey aimed at promoting academic excellence and human capital development from di region.

Director of NWDC, in statement wey dem release, talk say, “This initiative dey foster academic excellence and empower exceptional individuals from di North-West region to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies at reputable foreign universities.” Di scheme, wey fit help many students achieve dia dreams, go open on Monday, May 5, 2025, and e dey completely free.

Eligible courses for di scholarship include Engineering, Medical Sciences, ICT, and Education. To qualify, applicants must meet some requirements, wey include: being an indigene of one of di North-West States – like Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, and Zamfara; for undergraduate, dem need at least 5 O’Level credits including English, Maths, and core science subjects; for Master’s, minimum of Second Class Upper for di first degree; and for PhD, minimum of 4.00 CGPA for di Master’s degree.

Di age limit dey set at 35 years for undergraduate and Master’s applicants, while PhD candidates must not pass 40 years by di time of application. Required documents for di application include Curriculum Vitae, certificates, and others.

Additionally, di Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) don start application for dia 2025/2026 Overseas Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme for students wey wan pursue fully funded MSc and PhD programs in countries like di United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Malaysia. Dis PTDF scholarship cover tuition fees, flights, health insurance, living expenses, and bench fees, aiming to develop local talent for Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.

Dis two scholarship programs show di government’s effort to strengthen the academic capability and improve human capital development across Nigeria. As students don begin plan for dis opportunity, e go help boost development for di North-West region.
