NSCDC Catch 10 Suspected Vandals for Wrecking Infrastructure for FCT

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) FCT Command has arrested 10 individuals suspected of vandalism and peddling critical national assets and infrastructure in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

According to the NSCDC FCT Commandant, Dr Olusola Odumosu, the suspects were apprehended at various locations within the territory. Dr Odumosu briefed journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, detailing that the suspects were caught vandalizing street lights, bridges, and telecommunication masts.

The Commandant condemned the buyers of these vandalized items, stating that their actions fuel unlawful activities. He emphasized that investigations are ongoing to identify the kingpins behind these acts and assured that those found guilty would face prosecution.

Dr Odumosu urged residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by reporting any suspicious activities. This call for public cooperation is part of the broader effort to combat vandalism and protect critical infrastructure in the FCT.
