Nicole Kidman dey make waves again with her new film, ‘Babygirl‘, wey go be out on January 10, 2025. In dis movie, Kidman play de role of a powerful CEO who get entangled in a sexual affair with her young intern, played by Harris Dickinson.
Kidman talk about how she feel safe and comfortable during de filming of de intimate scenes. She say dat de director, Halina Reijn, and de intimacy coordinator help create a ‘safe’ and ‘sacred’ space for dem to explore and experiment with deir roles.
During an interview, Kidman reveal say she have to pause filming sometimes because de scenes too intense and demanding. “There was an enormous amount of sharing and trust and then frustration. It’s like, ‘Don’t touch me,’” she explain. “There were times when we were shooting where I was like, ‘I don’t want to orgasm any more. Don’t come near me. I hate doing this. I don’t care if I am never touched again in my life I’m over it.’”.
Harris Dickinson, who play de intern, praise Kidman for her fearlessness and playfulness on set. He say she make de atmosphere easy and humorous, even during de most intense scenes. Dickinson also mention dat dey work with an intimacy coordinator to define de boundaries of what dem were both comfortable with before shooting.
Kidman already receive critical recognition for her performance in ‘Babygirl’ after de film’s premiere at de Venice Film Festival, where she was awarded Best Actress. De film explore themes of power, gender, age, hierarchy, and primal instinct, and it’s described as witty, subversive, and emotionally revealing.
