The Kaduna State Police Command don welcome their new Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Abdullahi, wey take over from CP Gyogon Grimah. Grimah, wey be seasoned police officer from Nasarawa State, spend barely two weeks for the command before he hand over to Abdullahi.
According to ASP Mansir Hassan, the Public Relations Officer of the Command, CP Abdullahi’s appointment be big boost to security for the state. Hassan say, “CP Ibrahim Abdullahi’s wealth of experience and leadership go undoubtedly enhance the command’s efforts to maintain law and order”.
CP Abdullahi, wey be from Zuru Local Government area in Kebbi State, start his police career in 1992 as Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (C/ASP). He train at the Police Academy Annex in Kaduna and hold various key positions over the years.
Abdullahi promise to uphold the values of the Nigeria Police Force and ensure security, peace, and order in Kaduna State. He say, “My experience and dedication go be utilised to improve policing and community relationships”.
Abdullahi’s notable roles include serving as Personal Assistant to the Commissioner of Police in Niger State, Officer in Charge of General Investigation, and Divisional Crime Officer in Tudun Wada Division. He also serve as Area Commander in Kafanchan, Zaria, and Metro Lafia, where he demonstrate exceptional leadership skills.
After his promotion to Deputy Commissioner of Police in 2019, Abdullahi hold leadership positions in Kaduna, Zone 6 Calabar, Sokoto State Command, and Force CID, Abuja. He assure the public of his commitment to community policing and collaboration with stakeholders.
