On Saturday, October 19, 2024, de Naija Army hold one grand ceremony to honour 15 retired generals from de Artillery Corps. De event take place at de Nigerian Army School of Artillery (NASA) in Kachia, Kaduna State.
Among de retirees, 11 be Major Generals and 4 be Brigadier Generals. Dey mark de end of their distinguished military careers with a pulling-out procession.
Maj Gen James Myam (rtd), who speak on behalf of de retired officers, express deep gratitude and fulfillment. He thank God for de protection dem enjoy throughout their years of service and credit divine assistance for their accomplishments.
Maj Gen Myam also thank President Bola Tinubu for de opportunity to serve de nation and commend de Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Taoreed Lagbaja, wishing him continued wisdom and strength in his leadership of de Naija Army.
Reflecting on their journey, Maj Gen Myam recall how dem start as Officer Cadets at de Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna. He urge current officers to remain loyal to de Nigerian Constitution and de democratically elected government, emphasizing de importance of security consciousness in de line of duty.
De retired general express heartfelt thanks to their families, friends, instructors, and mentors who support dem throughout their military service. De ceremony was graced by senior military figures, including former Chief of Army Staff, Maj Gen Alwali Kazir (rtd).
