De party’s National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, issue de rebuttal for Abuja. Ifoh accuse de Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and former party chieftain, Kenneth Okonkwo, of championing their persecution and describe de allegation as a figment of their imagination.
According to Ifoh, de rumour be deliberate attempt to de-market LP in favour of rival parties. He say, “It has become imperative for de leadership of de Labour Party to quickly respond to de handiwork of our adversaries and those who want to desperately frustrate de leadership of de Labour Party at all costs.”
Ifoh warn NLC leadership to stop meddling in de party’s affairs and focus on de primary duty Nigerians elected dem to do. He emphasize say de Abure-led National Working Committee has proven repeatedly through de victories of many party’s candidates at de 2023 elections and subsequent election petition tribunal that it mean business.
Ifoh also state say, “For any person to say that dat leadership is working for APC-led government, it can only be mischief carried too far and a calculated attempt to distract de leadership of de party. So it is very clear that it is even de NLC that is working for APC, and for dem to accuse de Labour Party of working for APC is ironic and laughable.”
