Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) don dey criticize the All Progressives Congress (APC) for no fulfilling the promises dem make to Lagosians and Nigerians during the 2023 general elections.
Dis criticism come as people dey talk about how poverty and hardship dey rise everywhere for the country. The hardship wey dey now don make PDP increase their call for change, and dem dey present themselves as better option to APC government both for federal and state levels.
Tai Benedict, who be the Vice Chairman of PDP for Lagos State, talk to *Sunday PUNCH* say APC government no meet the expectations of Nigerians. Benedict stress say any party wey no live up to expectations fit be described as corrupt and careless.
“Generally, APC no dey live up to expectations. People dey go through hardship. Lagos State never be ruled by PDP before. The level of poverty for Lagos very high,” Benedict add.
He say the inability of PDP to rule the state dey affect many people.
Reacting to PDP’s statement, Seye Oladejo, who be the Publicity Secretary of APC for Lagos State, express surprise at PDP’s ability to criticize the ruling party. He describe PDP as ‘moribund and non-existent’ in their effectiveness as opposition force.
“I wonder what moral ground PDP stand on in questioning the performance of an APC government that is doing so well and has performed tremendously in providing accessible governance in Nigeria,” Oladejo say.
