Labour Praise Kebbi, A’Ibom For New Minimum Wage of N75,000 and N80,000

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State don sign new law wey establish minimum wage of N75,000 for civil servants for the state. Dis announcement come out on Wednesday, and e dey mark one big step forward for workers dem.

In another development, Akwa Ibom State also follow suit by approving a minimum wage of N80,000 for their civil servants. Dis move dey receive plenty praise from labour unions across the country.

Labor leaders dey hail the governors of Kebbi and Akwa Ibom for taking dis bold step to improve the welfare of their workers. Dem believe say dis new minimum wage go help reduce poverty and improve living standards for many families.

Dis approval dey come at a time when many states still dey struggle to meet the old minimum wage of N30,000. So, the move by Kebbi and Akwa Ibom dey seen as a significant breakthrough and a model for other states to follow.
