Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, don swear in newly elected chairmen and vice chairmen of the 21 local government areas in the state. The swearing-in ceremony happen on Monday, October 21, 2024.
During the ceremony, Governor Ododo advise the new local government council officials to be fair and just in the discharge of their duties. He emphasize the importance of transparency, accountability, and good governance at the local level.
The governor also remind them that their primary responsibility na to serve the people and ensure that the needs of their communities are met. He encourage them to work hard and make sure that development reach all parts of the state.
The Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) conduct the local government elections which lead to the emergence of these new chairmen and vice chairmen.
