INEC Collect 55,859 PVCs, Extend Exercise to LGs for Ondo Election

Ahead of the upcoming governorship election in Ondo State, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that a total of 55,859 Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) have been collected by eligible voters.

The commission revealed this information on Tuesday, indicating a significant turnout in the PVC collection exercise. To ensure more voters can collect their cards, INEC has extended the PVC collection exercise to the local government areas.

This move is part of INEC’s efforts to enhance voter participation and ensure that all eligible voters have the opportunity to cast their ballots in the election scheduled for November 16.

The extension to local government areas is aimed at making the collection process more accessible and convenient for voters, particularly those in rural and remote areas.

INEC has also emphasized its commitment to conducting a free, fair, transparent, and credible election, and has urged voters to take advantage of the extended collection period to obtain their PVCs.
