But when di electoral officers reach di ward for Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, armed men wey be suspected political thugs invade di place with heavy gunfire.

In another incident for Igwuruta community, Ikwerre Local Government Area, youths wey claim say dem be loyalists of Wike take to di streets to enforce a High Court judgment. Dem say di judgment bar di Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) from conducting di local government election.
