Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar don finally apologize to Apostle Johnson Suleman after years of serious allegations wey cause plenty harm to him, his family, and his ministry. On Wednesday, October 23, Halima post one heartfelt apology letter on her Instagram page, where she acknowledge say all the things she talk before na lies.
In the letter, Halima say she realize the depth of the harm and pains she cause Apostle Suleman, his wife Lizzy Suleman, and the leaders of Omega Fire Ministries. She admit say she make false allegations against him, including claims of clandestine affairs, pregnancies, and miscarriages, which she now say be fabrications.
This apology come after a long battle in court. In April 2024, the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja fine Halima N10 million for defaming Apostle Suleman. The court ruling follow a lawsuit wey Suleman file against her in 2022 after she make those serious allegations.
Halima also praise Apostle Suleman’s contributions to humanity and ask for his forgiveness. She hope say the apology go open door for forgiveness, even though she know say apology alone no fit undo the damage she don cause.
This development dey come at a time when Halima’s career dey face serious challenges. Last Friday, the Actors Guild of Nigeria announce her indefinite suspension, citing a two-year investigation that allegedly find her guilty of spreading false rumours about her colleagues and high-profile figures.
