TreeHouse Foods, wey be the manufacturer, announce dis voluntary recall on Friday after dem discover the issue during routine testing at their facility.
The recalled waffles dey sold under different brands, including Walmart’s Great Value, Target’s Good & Gather, and private label brands for Food Lion, Kroger, and Schnucks. Other brands affected include Kodiak Cakes, Simple Truth, and Foodhold. Consumers fit identify the recalled products by checking the UPC code, lot code, and best buy date on the back of the carton.
No confirmed reports of illness have been linked to the recall, but Listeria infection fit cause serious and sometimes fatal illness, especially for pregnant women, newborns, adults over 65, and people with weakened immune systems. Symptoms of listeriosis include fever, headache, diarrhea, and vomiting.
Consumers wey get any of the affected products should either throw dem away or return dem to the place of purchase for credit. The recall affect products distributed throughout the U.S. and Canada, and both the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and U.S. food regulators are aware of the recall.
