Federal Government of Nigeria, in collaboration with United States Agency for International Development (USAID), don empower 311 agricultural Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) over the past four years, according to the Minister.
This initiative aim at boosting agricultural production and reducing poverty in the country. The Minister reveal this during a recent event where the achievements of the partnership were highlighted.
The empowerment include training, financial support, and access to modern farming techniques for the MSMEs. This move is part of the government’s efforts to diversify the economy and make agriculture a key sector.
The partnership between FG and USAID has been instrumental in improving the capacity of these small-scale farmers and entrepreneurs, enabling them to contribute more significantly to the country’s food security and economic growth.
The Minister also commend the role of USAID in supporting Nigeria‘s agricultural development, emphasizing the importance of such collaborations in achieving the country’s development goals.
