FG Launch CNG Conversion Incentive Programme for A’Ibom

Federal Government don officially launch di Conversion Incentive Programme for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Uyo, di capital of Akwa Ibom State. Dis programme na big step towards promoting di use of CNG as an alternative to petrol and diesel.

Di programme aim to encourage vehicle owners to convert their vehicles to use CNG, which dey say go reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help Nigeria meet its climate change targets. Di government believe say dis programme go also help reduce di cost of fuel for Nigerians and create more jobs in di energy sector.

Di launch of di programme happen in Uyo, where government officials and stakeholders gather to discuss di benefits and implementation of di programme. Di officials explain say di government go provide incentives like subsidies and tax breaks to vehicle owners who convert their vehicles to CNG.

Di programme also include training and capacity building for mechanics and technicians to ensure say dem have di skills to handle CNG conversions. Di government hope say dis programme go help Nigeria transition to cleaner energy sources and reduce its dependence on fossil fuels.
