FG Dey Ready For Youth Development — Minister

The Minister of State for Youth Development, Olawande Ayodele, don talk say the Federal Government dey ready to help develop Nigerian youths and foster national solidarity. Him make this statement when a delegation from the Nigeria Youths Union (NYU) visit am for him office in Abuja.

According to the president of the NYU, Chinonso Obasi, the youths delegation demand say the government should reorganize the Nigerian youth structure and teach youths the importance of national cohesion. Obasi also talk about how bad economy, insecurity, unemployment, and lack of infrastructure dey affect Nigerian youths.

Minister Ayodele praise the NYU for their efforts in advocating for improvements in areas like primary healthcare, local government autonomy, youth inclusion in governance, anti-corruption, and addressing illegal mining. Him reaffirm the ministry’s willingness to work with the group to address these concerns.

Vice President Kashim Shettima also join the conversation on youth development by inaugurating the Steering Committee of the Nigeria Jubilee Programme (NJFP), a programme aimed at increasing employment opportunities for fresh graduates with market-ready skills. Shettima say the programme is crucial for equipping Nigerian youths to become employees, innovators, and leaders in their chosen careers.

The NJFP, which is supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the European Union (EU), is part of the federal government’s initiatives to tackle unemployment and underemployment among Nigerian graduates.
