But in a statement, FCT police command say dem no involve in any illegal arrest or detention of minor. Dem explain say dem follow all legal procedures when dem dey handle any case.
This issue come up after another case of alleged illegal detention by Nigerian Army in Minna Military Cantonment. The Army also deny dis allegation, saying dem arrest one man because him dey impersonate as a serving personnel and him commit fraud.
The Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations for TRADOC, Lt.-Col. Sani Uba, talk say dem investigate the matter and find out say the man, Deekae Sunday Kiaka, be dismissed personnel of Nigerian Airforce who dey impersonate as a serving Sgt.
Though the FCT police command no give detailed statement on the specific case of minor detention, dem assure the public say dem dey follow all legal guidelines in their operations.
