Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, don announce the death of his longtime Special Assistant, Mr. Ndifreke Saviour Mark, wey slump and die for one Abuja hotel.
According to Fani-Kayode, Mark leave him house early on Sunday, October 13, to attend Mass for Catholic Church of Assumption, Asokoro, before him go to one hotel with one person.
Mark, wey serve Fani-Kayode for over 34 years, reportedly check into Mildy Lodge and Apartments in Garki, Abuja, where him spend some time with one unidentified individual. Police say him take room for the hotel, spend time with the person, and then slump and die in the person’s presence.
Mark was rushed to Asokoro District Hospital, where dem pronounce am dead on arrival. The person wey be with am at the time of him collapse don dey police custody, and full criminal investigation dey go on.
Fani-Kayode express him deep grief over the loss, describing Mark as loyal and trusted aide. “He be like son to me, and him passing be huge blow to my family and me. We share many dreams and aspirations, and now him don go, e don leave much pain,” him say.
Hotel staff, including the receptionist, don dey detention for questioning, while the manager and the owner been invited by police earlier this week. The hotel been sealed for two days as investigations begin, and the room where Mark lodge remain sealed.
Fani-Kayode assure Mark’s family, including his wife, Barrister Patience Ndifreke-Mark, of his support during this difficult time. Him emphasize his commitment to ensuring justice if foul play be discovered.
“I have absolute confidence in the FCT Police Command to get to the bottom of this matter,” him add, stating that autopsy go be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
Fani-Kayode also pay tribute to his aide, remembering him as kind, reliable, and compassionate individual wey “bring joy to many and be incapable of hurting a fly.” Mark survive by his wife and two children.
